Say Hello...MFT Countdown

Hello! Welcome to the Countdown posts for the April release from My Favorite Things - just 6 days until you can get yourself some new MFT!!!   New products will be released Tuesday, April 8th at 10 pm EST. Be sure to visit the MFT blog today for reveals of some great new products.  I have two cards to share using two awesome new products - the On the Diagonal Background and TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics (love them both and I think you will, too).

I absolutely love this big speech bubble with the "hello" inside it!!!  I cut a piece of Sour Apple card stock 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and stamped the On the Diagonal Background in Black Licorice ink.  I ran the stamped card stock through my die cutting machine with the hello speech bubble from the TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics.  I used a black sharpie to color the hello part of the die cut and coated it with some clear Wink of Stella.  The Sour Apple panel was mounted on an A2 Sweet Tooth card base.  I filled in the spaces of the word with various colors of MFT card stock.  Here is a look at the shimmer from the Wink of Stella.

Here are links to the MFT products I used for this card (other supplies are listed at the end of this post).  Links for new products will be active on Tuesday at 10 pm EST.

The second Die-namics in this TRANSFORM-ables set is a larger speech bubble that allows you to create a delicately framed hello in the bubble.  I used both Die-namics for this card.

I used Distress Markers with the On the Diagonal Background to create the watercolor background.  I stamped the background in VersaMark on watercolor paper and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I colored with four Distress Markers in a random pattern, spritzed with water, moved the card stock around a little to mix the colors a bit, and let it dry.  I also used the Worn Lipstick Distress Marker to color a piece of water color paper, spritzed it with water, let dry, and die cut it with the large speech bubble from the TRANSFORM-ables Say Hello Die-namics.  Here is another look.

I also cut three speech bubbles from chipboard and glued them all to the back of the water colored speech bubble and hello speech bubble.  I used scor-tape to add a strip of glitter to a card base before adhering the water colored panel and speech bubble.  Here is a look at the dimension added to the speech bubble.
