Spring is in the Air...March Release Rewind

Hello friends!! Welcome to the March Release Rewind for My Favorite Things. You can check out all the new products that were released Tuesday night right HERE. Today & tomorrow the Design Team is taking a look back at this month's release and showing some more projects to inspire you.

I have two cards to share using some great new products that I didn't get to use during the Countdown posts.  Up first is a card using the Floral Fusion Cover-Up Die-namics.  I decided to do something a little different with it.

I cut the Floral Fusion Cover-Up from Grapesicle, Berrylicious, Sour Apple, and Natural card stocks.  I used the large mat Die-namics from Blueprints 2 to cut a Natural panel.  I glued the Grapesicle Floral Fusion to the Natural panel and pieced back in the negative pieces from the Sour Apple, Berrylicious, and Natural cuts.  I made this a bit easier by first covering the Natural panel with adhesive prior to adhering the Grapesicle die cut (I used my ATG gun.).  My Quickstik tool also came in VERY handy :)  Here's another look.

I absolutely LOVE how this looks!  It adds so much texture without adding bulk.  I used the colors from the newest color challenge on the MFT Blog - Color Palette Challenge #3.  You have all month to play along.

The sentiment is from Sunny Day Doodles - Spring Has Sprung.  The layered banners were cut using the new Blueprints 13 Die-namics.  I did cut the length of both banners and the width of the fishtail banner to expose more of the background :)  Here's a closer look at the "button".

I cut the larger circle and circle button from Grapesicle card stock using Die-namics from Blueprints 8.  I tied twine through the button and adhered it with foam squares to the larger circle.  That great stitching detail was added using one of the Die-namics from Blueprints 13.  Here are all the MFT products I used on this card.

For my next card I inked up the sweet image from Birdie Brown Designs - Sunflower Sweetheart.

I stamped the image in Memento tuxedo black on X-Press It Blending card, colored with Copic markers, and cut out using the coordinating Sunflower Sweetheart Die-namics.  I stamped the Wood Plank Background in Natural ink on Smooth White and layered on a Chocolate Brown mat.

The Tall Grassy Edge was cut from Sour Apple and Gumdrop Green card stocks.  Here are the MFT products I used on this card.

Be sure to check the Brand New Department at the MFT Boutique for all the newest products!
