Celebratory Greetings...1 day until Release!!

Hello! We are winding down the countdown to the December release from My Favorite Things. Today is the last countdown post as we are just 1 day away! We have lots of fabulous products being revealed today so be sure to check the MFT Blog for the complete reveals.  I have two cards to share using the new Celebratory Greetings Die-namics.  Here is the first card.

I was trying to think of a fun thing to do with this set and then it came to me - combine the words with a banner for a great sentiment focused card :)  For this card, I used the large pennant from the Mini Pennants Die-namics to cut Wild Cherry, Orange Fizz, Banana Split, Spearmint, Berrylicous, and Grape Jelly card stocks.  I lined them up on my cutting plate using the "celebrate" die cut underneath a a guide and placed a piece of removable tape spanning the entire line of pennants so they wouldn't shift when I placed the Die-namics on top.  I placed the "celebrate" Die-namics from Celebratory Greetings on top and secured in place with another piece of removable tape and ran it all through my die cut machine.  What I got was mini pennants perfectly cut to fit underneath the celebrate die cut.  Kind of fun?!  I glued the celebrate cut from  Black Licorice card stock on a Sweet Tooth panel and then glued the pennants in place.  I finished it off with a couple sequins.  Here's a close-up.

Here are links to all the MFT products I used on this card. (Product links for the December release items will be active tonight at 10 pm EST.)

I enjoyed playing around with this so much that I made a second, less CAS, card using the same technique.  This time I used the "congrats" Die-namics from Celebratory Greetings and the Party Banner Die-namics.

For the Kraft circle I used the Sheer Shimmer Mist and Stargaze Stencil to create a subtle pattern and cut it out using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics.  The Typewriter Text Background was stamped in Natural ink on a Smooth White panel.

Awesome cards. Love the first one. Love how you've cut the "celebrate" right on top of the pennants.

When I saw the first card I wondered how you had achieved the inset look. Thanks for the idea and the technique, as I am always on the lookout for something new.

VERY clever on the first card - I'd been wondering how you did that!
