Red Delicious and Scalloped Treat Box Projects

Hello!!  Thanks for tuning in today :)  Today is the third day of Teasers for the My Favorite Things April release.  MFT has changed things a bit this month, including the prizes offered and how you can have a chance at winning a fantastic prize!!  Check out all the details on the MFT Blog.  All the new stamp sets and Die-namics that are being previewed will be available for purchase on April 9th at 10 pm EST in the Brand Spankin' New Department at the MFT Boutique.

I have the pleasure of showing you the soon to be released Red Delicious Die-namics and Scalloped Treat Box Die-namics today.  I had a lot of fun focusing my creative energy on these two products while incorporating some new and previously released stamp sets.  I hope you like what I have to show you :)

I will start with a couple cards using the Red Delicious Die-namics.  Here is the first one.

I cut the apple from Electric Red cardstock, sponging the edges with Electric Red ink.  I used a white gel pen to add an area of highlights to the apple.  The leaves were cut from Jellybean Green cardstock and sponged with the coordinating ink.  The sentiment is from the latest set from Lisa Johnson Designs - Sweet Roses and was stamped with the new Hot Fudge ink.

The green cardstock for the card front is a new color, Factory Green.  I stamped one of the images from Mod Borders in Factory Green ink along the bottom portion.  The Electric Red scalloped border is one of three in the new Open Simply Scallops Trio Die-namics set.

Here is a peek at the inside stamped with a combination of images from Mod Borders, Gift Card Greetings and the Jersey stamp set.

I had a lot of fun making this next card.

I hope you can tell it is a caramel apple sprinkled with coconut - LOL!  I cut two of the Red Delicious - one from Electric Red cardstock and the other from Kraft cardstock.  I then used the Snow Drift Die-namics to cut a curve from the Kraft apple to create the caramel topping.  I adhered the "caramel" to the Electric Red apple and gave it a generous coating of Liquid Glass (CTMH).  I added some Sweet Tooth shavings for the coconut.  Here is a close-up.

The background is Steel Grey, on which I stamped one of the Mod Borders in white pigment ink and heat embossed a sentiment from the new Triple Scoop stamp set, Chocolate Sentiments.  I framed out the main panel using a white gel pen,  added a sweet tooth "stick", and baker's twine bow to finish it off.  The base is Jellybean Green cardstock.  Here is the inside stamped with a sentiment from Gift Card Greetings II on a Fishtail Flags STAX die cut.  I also stamped another length of the same Mod Border from the front.

I couldn't resist creating a set of adorable mini cards using the Red Delicious Die-namics to create a shaped card base.  Wouldn't these be great to tuck in a little gift for a teacher or use as a tag on a gift bag? Or tucked in a bouquet of flowers or potted plant!

The sentiments are from Clearly Sentimental about Teaching, Gift Card Greetings, Gift Card Greetings II, and Big Greetings.  I also stamped a second sentiment on the insides.

If you are still with me, I have just a few Scalloped Treat Boxes to show you :)  This first one combines the Red Delicious Die-namics and Scalloped Treat Box Die-namics - which work perfectly!!

I used the new Bottom Line Numbers and Symbols Die-namics for the "#1", cutting one from Sweet Tooth cardstock and a second set from Black Licorice to create a shadow.  I also tucked in a Vertical Gift Card Pocket, too.

Up next is a trio of stamped Scalloped Treat Boxes, perfect for some sweet loving people.  Another great item to stick in these boxes would be some crayons, stickers, erasers, pencils if you are doing something for the kids :)

The box on the left uses one of the new Mod Borders in Blu Raspberry, Orange Fizz, and Sour Apple ink along with a sentiment from Document It - Rock On.  The top box has more of the Mod Borders in Wild Cherry ink and Blu Raspberry ink.  The sentiment is from Big Greetings.  For the box on the right, I paired a sentiment from Chocolate Sentiments with a couple borders from Hearts and Stitches.  I paired the new Hot Fudge and Orange Fizz ink with Razzle Berry ink.

Okay, one last project - promise!!  I just had to share a felt version of the Scalloped Treat Box!!

I used Nightshift Blue felt and glued the box together using my hot glue gun.  I used the Roses and Leaves Die-namics from Lisa Johnson with Sno Cone and Sour Apple felt for the flower.  A Kraft button tied with hemp cord is the perfect flower center.  I think this is such a sweet alternative to a paper box!

Thank you soooo much if you stuck with me!  I had so much fun creating with these new products, in case you couldn't tell!  Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the team has created for this release.  While you're there check out the prize details and how you can enter to win a HUGE prize!!!  Thanks for stopping by today!
