Pretty Poppies... MFT Teasers Day 1

Hello!!  Welcome to the first day of Teasers for the March release from My Favorite Things.  There is a great release planned with lots of good stuff coming your way next Monday.  Today the Design Team is previewing a new set from Lisa Johnson Designs - Pretty Poppies.  I was really excited to create with this set.  Here is the first card I created.

I stamped the poppies in Wild Cherry ink and the stems in one of the newest colors of ink from MFT, Gumdrop Green.  The sentiment was stamped in Brillianice Graphite Black ink.  I added some black pearls to finish off the card front.  I want to mention that there is also a coordinating Die-namics available for this set!  Here is the inside.

I stamped more of the poppies and some leaves from Pretty Poppies.  A second sentiment from this set was stamped in Brilliance ink.  Here are the MFT products I used for this card (new product links will not be active until 3/11 at 10 pm EST).

Here is the second card I created using some background paper I stamped with the Pretty Poppies stamp set.

I first stamped the fabulous text background from Pretty Poppies in Slate ink (Amuse).  I attempted to create a watercolor look with the poppies and leaves.  I inked up the stamps and then used my water brush to move the ink around on the inked stamp before I stamped it.  I had to practice a lot because I found it very easy to use too much water and end up with a blob :)   I painted the stems using the Gumdrop Green ink pad and waterbrush.

 So, what do you think of this fantastic layout?  Do you see any new Die-namics????  Well, I am so excited because Kim has come up with a fabulous idea - Blueprints Die-namics!!  What is that you may be thinking - here you go :)
