Hello!!! Welcome to the first day of Teasers for My Favorite Things' first release of 2013!!! We have a fabulous week planned to show off all the new products coming your way on January 8th - so stay tuned!! Today the Design Team is previewing two new sets from Lisa Johnson Designs - Homespun Hearts and Hearts and Stitches. LOVE both of these sets, and I was able to incorporate them both on this card.
To create the space for the sentiment, I used the file tab from the Mini Tabs Foursome Die-namics to cut the patterned paper and Black Licorice cardstock mat. I made a couple pencil marks on my Sweet Tooth card base and stamped the sentiment in the new Black Licorice ink. I love this new ink!
The three largest hearts in the Homespun Hearts set coordinate with the new Die-namics Rustic Hearts. Here I stamped the heart image in Wild Cherry ink on a Sweet Tooth cardstock die cut. I also used the new Boy Meets Girl Die-namics to cut that adorable paper doll chain from Sweet Tooth cardstock, piecing a Pink Lemonade girl and Sno Cone boy over two of the figures.

I stamped a second die cut with a heart from Homespun Hearts and stamped a button from the set in Sno Cone ink (also soon to be released) and fussy cut that out. The sentiment was stamped on a banner cut using the Sentiment Strips Die-namics. The sentiment here actually has an exclamation point at the end, but I used a piece of scotch tape to mask it while inking. This way it fit perfectly on this banner :) I also stamped a row of zig zag stitching in Black Licorice before arranging the other elements. That wide heart border is from Hearts and Stitches. You will love the elements included in this set!!!
