Going in Circles...MFT Creative Challenge

Hello!!! Welcome to the January Creative Challenge for My Favorite Things'.  This month we are focusing on one of our STAX Die-namics - the Circle STAX.  I started off by taking scraps from Fly a Kite (October Afternoon) and cutting a bunch of the smaller circles from both Circle STAX set 1 and set 2.  I had a lot of fun playing around with different arrangements and ended up creating two cards and decorating a gift bag.  This was a great way to use up some paper scraps.  Here is my first card.

I started out with a Black Licorice base.  After deciding on an arrangement that I liked for the circles, I stamped some stitching (Hearts and Stitches) and a sentiment (You Make My Day, this month's Triple Scoop set) in Versamark and heat embossed in white.  Here is the inside with a second sentiment from You Make My Day and more stitching from Hearts and Stitches.

I used the circles as a background for my next card.

I stitched two rows of circles over a Dizzy Doily (Natural cardstock) on a Whip Cream base.  I used some Antique linen ink to soften the edges a bit.  A sentiment from You Make My Day was stamped in Kraft ink on a Fishtail Flag.

A Leaf Filled Flourish and Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose create a pretty accent over the doily.

Here is the inside of the card with another sentiment from You Make My Day and a stitched trio of circles.

I had a few circles left and a Dizzy Doily that didn't work out for these cards, so I stitched them together to form a short length of garland to decorate a plain white gift bag.

I added a Traditional Tag stamped with a sentiment from You Make My Day and embellished with the rolled rose from the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics and some Hemp cord.
