Season's Greetings...MFT Teasers Day 3

Hello!!! Welcome to the 3rd day of Teasers for the My Favorite Things October Release!!  Today the Design Team is featuring the Triple Scoop stamp sets.  The current set, Clearly Sentimental about Coffee, will be available for regular purchase beginning Tuesday at 10 pm EST.  At the same time Seasonal Sentiments will be absolutely FREE with a qualifying purchase of $60 or greater (before shipping and tax) - just remember to add it to your cart!

I have a couple samples using Seasonal Sentiments for you today.  I love all the graphic sentiments in this set, and I bet you will, too :)

Up first is a card using the Handmade Holiday papers from Simple Stories.  I used this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch, MFTWSC93, for the layout.  LOVE this sentiment!!  All the papers were distressed with Antique Linen ink to give kind of a country Christmas feel.  I used the Christmas Ornaments Die-namics to create the ornament from patterned paper.  The hemp cord is available from MFT also, and you can find it here.  I tucked a circle cut using the Circle STAX (on sale now!!) behind so that the ornament would not get lost in the patterned paper.  I used the brand new Fishtail Flags Layers STAX with the Fishtail Flags STAX to create the matted flag peeking out from behind the sentiment.  If you have the original Fishtail Flags STAX, you seriously NEED the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX - just saying :)

My next card is very CAS.

The base of this card is Kraft cardstock.  I used the Jumbo Banner Day STAX Die-namics for the Christmas "tree" in the background.  I hand trimmed the cream banner to create a smaller mat.  The "poinsettia" was actually made with the Upsy Daisy Die-namics and topped off with a Whip Cream button threaded with more of the hemp cord.  The sentiment banner was created using one of the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX and turning the die cut around in the die for a second pass through my machine to create a double tailed banner.  That great flourish is the larger of the new Framing Flourishes, so pretty!!

Here are the Die-namics I used for these cards.

Sweet! My prayers have been answered! I have been wishing and hoping for Fishtail layers ever since the set was introduced. I just seem to have the hardest time cutting straight lines to layer the original set! So excited! Can't wait to buy them! Of course, I will now have to add other items to my cart as well!
