I have been back to a bit of scrapbooking lately, my Project Life album and otherwise. I took today's Teaser as an opportunity to get a jump on my Project Life album for the holiday season. I created a couple 4" x 6" insert cards, a trio of stamped journaling cards, and a cute 3" x 4" filler card. I have in mind to document the highlights of the Christmas season {for me} on a two page spread. In the future, my family can look back and see what made the 2012 Holiday special for Mom :) Here is the entire group of cards I created.
Here is one of the 4" x 6" cards.
I used the new Peek-a-Boo Squared Die-namics for my focal point. The "My Favorite Things" image is from Journal It Top Ten. I stamped words from Document It December on die cuts from the Howdy Frames Die-namics. The little ornament is also from Howdy Frames! I embellished it with some Divine Twine. The numbers were cut using By the Numbers Die-namics. I machine stitched around the entire card. Here is a look at the second 4" x 6" card (It is not as psychedelic in person! I promise!).
I used High-Rise Alphabet Lowercase and the new Uppercase edition to cut some seasonally appropriate words. I also cut the "LOVE" from chipboard to create a thicker letter and adhered that word with foam dots. Once again I used Howdy Frames to create the little ornaments, embellished with twine and some brads. The flags were cut using the new Accent It Flags & Tags Die-namics (LOVE this Die-namics set!!!). I also machine stitched around this card. Now onto the small 3" x 4" cards cut using the new Insert It 3 X 4 Die-namics (perfect for Project Life page protectors!!).
This first one was created using words from Document It December and Die-namics from Accent It Flags & Tags and Howdy Frames. Love those check marks and the pinking edge circles!! I have three kids, so this will keep them guessing who is the Naughty one - LOL!! I am evil :) Here are the three very simple, just stamped, journaling cards.
The notepaper & numbered lines stamp is from Journal It Top Ten. I mix & matched words & phrases from Journal It Top Ten and Document It December. I think it will be fun to look back at what *my* favorite recipes and songs were, as well as all the things I do to make Christmas special for my family :) I think the kids will get a kick out of this!
Here are the Die-namics I used for these projects.

fun, fun, fun!!!
Fun and great ideas! Now that my parents are gone and I look back, I wonder what was our favorite Christmas song in such and such year and my mom's favorite recipes etc. This would be a great idea especially for a new couple starting out and they could look back in 10 years to see what was what. Love all the new dies and stuff to make these ideas pop to life! I have one fun thing to add - what time did the kids get up and made the rest of the family get up to open presents etc. I giggle as I found a photo of the sun barely peaking up over the horizon with all the gift wrap strewn all over the living room when I was like 2 or 3 years old. Dad is in his new recliner snoring away clutching a pair of new work socks we so loveingly wrapped so carefully!
