Clearly Sentimental....MFT New Product Tour

Hello!!! Ready to shop?? All the new stamps and Die-namics you have been drooling over for the past week are now available in the Brand Spankin' New department on the MFT site! But before you start shopping (if you didn't already - lol) the Design Team has more artwork to share with you! Welcome to the MFT New Product Tour!! Each of the MFT designers will be spotlighting one of the newly released stamp sets for you tonight - be sure to check Kim's blog for all the links and details. Get your comments in because there is blog candy up for grabs! One of the designers is holding the blog candy prize, and it is worth $50!!! Now that is a HUGE prize!!! Good luck ;)

Tonight I am showing off the Clearly Sentimental about Grandparents, last month's Triple Scoop set now available for regular purchase.  I have three projects to share.  The first is a special layout.

As soon as I saw this sentiment I knew I wanted to put it on a layout with my children.  I am going to frame this and hang it in my craft room :)

(all the professional photos used in this layout were captured by Tracey Mason Photography)

A close up of the sentiment stamped on a banner cut using the Fishtail Flags STAX.  I added "mom" using the High-Rise Alphabet Lowercase Die-namics.  The stamp set includes "Grandma" & "Nana" in a coordinating font.

Here is another shot of the letters.  I used Bubblegum cardstock and two layers of chipboard to create my own thick alphabet. I used a strong liquid adhesive to adhere them together and to my layout.

A close-up of the flowers made with the new Flower Medley Die-namics.  This Die-namics has so many possibilities!!

I mixed up the patterns I used for lots of contrast.  I layered the pieces with foam tape for dimension and topped with pearls.

A close-up of the Peek-a-Boo Trio which I turned into a Quintet :)  This ended up being exactly 9" long - perfect for this 9" x 9" layout.  I will have a tutorial on how I created this in the next day or so (I didn't want to make this post any longer!)  I accented the little frames with a few hearts cut from Bubblegum cardstock using the heart from the Notched Tag Die-namics.

I also added a second layer for a mat effect using the Peek-a-Boo Trio and Circle STAX Die-namics, set 2.  After cutting the modified Peek-a-Boo trio out of Colonial White cardstock, I enlarged three of the frames using a Circle STAX Die-namics.  I layered this over a modified Peek-a-Boo Trio cut from Steel Grey cardstock.

Here is a look at the Mini Scallop Edge on the patterned paper under my Peek-a-Boo strip.

I used the Hearts-a-Plenty Die-namics with just a portion of the new Large Fancy Flourish in Steel Grey as an accent on the bottom corner.

For all of you who are strictly cardmakers, I also have a couple cards to share tonight.  A card for a grandmother...

I used lots of stitching to accent this homespun paper from My Mind's Eye.  I love this sentiment!!  I stamped a couple Flourishes from Finishing Flourishes on the Sweet Tooth Oval STAX before stamping the sentiment.  Here is the interior stamped with a second sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Grandparents.  I used just a strip of paper and the new Harlequin Die-namics with Steel Grey cardstock to dress it up a bit.

And a masculine card for all those grandfathers out there.

I used layers of Fishtail Flags STAX and Circle STAX (set 1 & set 2) for this guy card.  I accented the sentiment with a nice big button in Hot Fudge tied with Hemp cord.  The accent on the bottom is a portion of the Harlequin Border decorated with a couple more Hot Fudge buttons.  I am loving how the corrugated cardboard looks as the base for this!!  I finished the interior simply with a sentiment from Finishing Flourishes and a Harlequin Border.  This layout was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Here are all the newly released Die-namics I used for these projects.

Click over to the MFT blog to see the list of designers participating tonight. Don't forget there is blog candy up for grabs! One of the designers is holding the blog candy prize, and it is worth $50!!! Now that is a sweet incentive to leave some love for the Design Team because you never know who is holding the prize!! Have a fantastic night!! Happy Shopping!
