MFT New Product Tour - Gymnast Girl

Hello!!! Great news - all the new stamps and Die-namics you have been drooling over for the past week are now available in the Brand Spankin' New department on the MFT site! But before you start shopping (if you didn't already) the Design Team has more artwork to share with you! Welcome to the MFT New Product Tour!!   Each of the MFT designers will be spotlighting one of the newly released stamp sets for you tonight - be sure to check Kim's blog for all the links and details.  Get your comments in because there is blog candy up for grabs! One of the designers is holding the blog candy prize, and it is worth $50!!!

I am featuring Pure Innocence Gymnast Girl for you.  I absolutely LOVE the sentiments that are in this set!  I have a few projects to show off with lots of pictures so let's get right to it!  First up, I have an 8" x 8" scrapbook layout to share with you.  It doesn't actually contain a picture, but the PI as my "picture".  I plan to hang this in my budding gymnast's room :)  Here it is all framed up.

A detail shot of the cute Pure Innocence image mounted on a panel of vellum stitched over some patterned paper.  She is colored with Copic markers and her leotard was paper pieced.  I accented her with a heart from Hearts a Plenty Die-namics and a couple flower brads.

And a look at the awesome sentiments stamped on Fishtail Flags - the Sweet Tooth flag cut using the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics and the blue flag cut with the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics.  I stitched these in place and added a heart from Hearts a Plenty and a button.

I just had to use the Peace Sign Die-namics to coordinate with the main sentiment - Peace, Love, & Gymnastics!  There is also a bit of the Jumbo Squiggle Border peeking out, embellished with flower brads.

Here is a peek at a trio of banners I used at the top of the page.  These were cut from patterned paper using the new Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics

And I couldn't not add a Plentiful Petals flower to this - LOVE. this. flower.   The medium and small flower were used to create this flower.  I used one of the included centers and a button for the center.

Here is the layout shown a little larger, not in the frame.

Here is another look from a different angle.  I added lots of dimension with foam tape and Jody boosters.  You can see I tucked a couple more Rounded Banners under the flower.  The Small Scallop Border was also stitched to the Bubblegum cardstock under the large sentiment stamped on a Fishtail Flag.

And I also have two cards to show you using Gymnast Girl.  For both I colored the gymnast with Copic markers and paper pieced her leotard.  For this card I created a background using Sweet Tooth cardstock and the smallest of the new Jumbo Cloud STAX Die-namics - LOVE this look!  I also used a couple pieces of Fress Cut Grass to give her a place to stand.

Here is a look at the Jumbo Squiggle border I tucked behind the image.  You can also see here how I popped up one layer of the grass and put her feet between the two layers so it looks like she is actually standing in the grass.

Here is another look at this sweetie and the cloud background I created.  I know the sky isn't usually white ;)  I just liked this look, rather than white on blue - lol!  Creative license, right?

And the interior with two more sentiments from Gymnast Girl stamped on Clouds

Here is my second card using Gymnast Girl.  I colored her in darker tones here.  I think I will save this card to give to my daughter's coach next year :)  I went all out with the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics for this card.

A detail shot of the Jumbo Squiggle Border and Wonky Scallop Border behind the Bubblegum grosgrain ribbon.

This sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiments set.  I stamped it on a flag from First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, which was shortened using Joanne's cut & re-cut method.

And the inside of the card with a sentiment from Pure Innocence Birthday Girl.  Two sizes of Rounded Banners finish it off.

Here are the new Die-namics I have used tonight.  (Links for all products are in my recipes below.)

Click over to the MFT blog to see the list of designers participating tonight. There is blog candy up for grabs! One of the designers is holding the blog candy prize, and it is worth $50!!! Now that is a fantastic prize and a sweet incentive to leave some love for the Design Team because you never know who is holding the prize!! Have a fantastic night!! Happy Shopping!  AND MFT is now carrying BUTTONS to match all the fabulous heavyweight cardstock!!!

This is so adorable! I have a little boy who is 7 and does gymnastics! I hope they make a PI boy gymnast set! He loves the rope climbing and the swinging from the rings...and the giant pool filled with foam squares and having "foam pit" fights! His favorite thing is the running trampoline ramp though. Great fun! Love what you did with the girl set- bet your dd loves it!
