MFTWSC68 - Hi-YA!!

Hello, everyone!!  Happy hump day :)  It is time for another installment of My Favorite Things' Wednesday Stamp Club, MFTWSC68.  The details - every Wednesday there is a new sketch for you to play along with. You can check Kim's blog for a full list of the MFT Designers providing the inspiration. All the details can be found in the MFT forum on SCS - just look for the most recent WSC thread. Upload your card to the SCS gallery using the keyword MFTWSC68.  You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money.  For this week's sketch I created a masculine card using Kung Fu Fred.  This image is so great for that little boy or girl who loves karate!!

I colored Fred with Copics and pieced him (and his board) on top of a piece of paper from the Note to Self 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park).  The other patterned papers are from the Simple Stories - Happy Day 6x6 paper pad.  The cardstock is some deep red Bazzill, Kraft, and Hot Fudge.  I added a canvas badge and button tied with some jute twine as my circular element on top of the striped flag cut with the Fishtail Flag STAX Die-namics.  For the borders I pulled out the Postage Stamp Edge Die-namics and Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics.  I took a page from Jessie Rone's book and added some ribbon (burlap from The Ribbon Carousel) with a clip.  I used a Tim Holtz mini paper clip as my attachment :)  Here is the inside.

I stamped the sentiment on the circle from Sweet Stack Labels Die-namics, layered on the oval from the Layered Label Die-namics, layered on the large label shape from Sweet Stack.  The board image is stamped very lightly under the sentiment, kind of hard to see in the photo :)  Here is the sketch and Die-namics I used today.

For lots more inspiration using this sketch, head on over to Kim's blog for a full list of the MFT Designers participating today. I hope you will play along with us this week :) Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Debbie, this card really makes me smile! When my son was little, he was talking in his sleep and said "Hi-ya!"... fighting bad guys in a dream I guess! Great card :o)
