This month the featured product is Dimensional Elements. I love CTMH's Dimensional Elements (DEs), & use them for a lot of projects - cards, scrapbook pages, altered art. I made some simple cards this month to showcase a variety of ways to embellish your DEs. I used the "Sunrise" pattern from the Wishes Card Confidence Program book. I chose the Hooligans paper packet & Dimensional Elements Stars.
For the first card, I used my favorite method to color DEs - ink & a sponge dauber. Very fast, very easy, & very effective! I like to ink the edges of the DE using a coordinating marker - the marker really allows you to get in to those hard to reach places. Sunset ink was used here. Once your image is inked, you could also stamp directly onto the DE to create a pattern or some words.
For this next card, I covered the star with B&T paper (background & textured or patterned paper). I traced the star onto the opposite side of the B&T, cut it out, covered with Bonding Memories glue & adhered to the star. I used the finishing files to smooth out the edges for a very nice finished look & then used a marker to ink the edges.
I used the opposite sides of the "fingerprint" B&T for the next two cards, just to change it up a bit. For this card, I used the emboss resist technique to create a pattern on the star. I stamped a background stamp from Spot On Backgrounds with versamark & then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The entire piece was then inked with sunset ink using a sponge dauber. The embossed pattern resists the ink, resulting in a white polka dot pattern. This is where the fact that CTMH's chipboard is white really helps :)
Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing these simple ways to color & cover your Dimensional Elements; and I hope you are inspired to use up some of your chipboard stash! To see some of my previous posts using Dimensional Elements click here.

These are terrific! I love all the different techniques shown on the same card. Inking up the DEs is probably my favorite, but I bet that glitter star really shines.
Cute card! Love how you showed the different versions.
I think its really helpful that you showed 4 different ways to use the DE's. It was very clear because you used the same card for each one and just changed the technique.
way to go girl-thanks for the great times and showing all 4 ways!!!! love the two glue and glitter!!!!!!
I love how you showed 4 different ideas to change up the same card! Great ideas!
